How do I get to Mesa Baptist?
What Can I Expect on My First Visit?
You can’t miss the church just a mile south of Southern on Golf Course Rd. Once you get inside you will be greeted by some very helpful people that can get you to the class you will need to get to. We have nursery and toddler care for every service. At 9:45am on Sunday we have small group, age appropriate classes that will give you an opportunity to meet people your age. You children will be divided up by grade and gender, your teens will be involved in a class that will help them mature in the Lord, and you will have the right adult class to meet your needs.
The adults classes are The Next Step which is a college and Career class, Cornerstone which is a class for anyone under 30, Foundations, a class for new believers, The Adult Bible Class for anyone over 30, and Special Friends which is a handicap class. At 11:00am we will all meet in the auditorium for Morning Worship. We sing traditional hymns, have inspirational music specials, and a message from Gods Word. Each service will challenge you in your relationship with Christ.
Where do I take my children?
Starting with excellent nurseries, there is something special for every age child. At every service there are safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries for children three years old and under. For the infants, mothers will receive a pager so that the nursery attendants can easily contact you if there is a need. For children four years old through sixth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.
During Sunday School the children will be divided into age appropriate classes from 4 years old to the 6th grade. After Sunday School there will be Kids Church for the 4&5Year olds and Children’s Church for Grades 1-6. On Wednesday Nights we have Sunshine Kids Choir at 7pm. Thursday Nights we host Master Clubs for ages 3 to the 6th grade. This exciting program runs from 6:45-8:15pm.
What about my teens?
We have a wonderful program for teens! During Sunday School they will meet friends, sing songs, and learn from God’s Words. We also have a Sunday Night After Church (SNAC) activity once a month. And activity once a month, teen visitation at 4:30pm on Wednesday, Teen Choir 6:30pm on Wednesday, and a discipleship program each Wednesday Night at 7:00pm. The teenage years are the most important development years for your spiritual life. Develop and grow with us!
There is not a dress code at Mesa Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Mesa Baptist!
No. We don’t invite you to Mesa Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
If there’s something we missed on this list, just give us a call, or ask someone when you arrive. Whether you’re new to the area and looking for a church home, or if it’s been a long time since you’ve attended church at all, we hope your first visit at Mesa Baptist will be awesome! We exist to serve you and your family, and we are looking forward to meeting you personally. Let us know how we can serve you better, and we hope to meet you this Sunday!
